FOUR FOR THE PRICE OF? A STEAL??

What would you say about four of Detroit’s budding stars: AUSTIN JACKSON,
ALEX AVILA, BRENNAN BOESCH and SCOTT SIZEMORE making only $400,000
each?? $1,600,000 for all four. You gotta’ be kidding? Right?

WRONG! Actually that’s what they really are being paid. In today’s bludgeioning
salaries what a breath of fresh air these four rookies bring to the scene. And,
to the future of this franchise. The following is what WBWF feels about these
four blossoming stars.

AUSTIN JACKSON is already a super star! Whoever heard of a rookie leading the
league in hits?? JOHNNY DAMON told everyone way back in spring training that
JACKSON would be a “SUPER STAR”. DAMON was right. You can see at a glance
at how this kid manipulates himself that he’s on his way to make a few pennies
more than the $400,000 he’s making this year. A WHOOOOLE LOT MORE!

SCOTT SIZEMORE handles himself with old school grace & dignity. He really reminds
us of the mechanical man, CHARLEY GEHRINGER, out at second base. He has a long
way to go, but as just a rookie, he pkays the game and loves the game and respects
the game a lot like CHARLEY did. He simply splatters that baseball all over the field.
THE KID CAN FLAT OUT HIT! But, so far in 2010 he’s had nothing but bad luck. Every
line drive he hits is right at someone. His average should be well over .300. His
fielding sparkles. SCOTT SIZEMORE WILL BE AROUND FOR A LOOOOONG TIME!

BRENNAN BOESCH absolutely punishes the baseball. JIM LEYLAND says: “WHEN THAT
KID HITS THE BALL SOMETHING HAPPENS.” Something happens all right. We used to
say that when certain hitters hit the ball, THEY FLATTEN IT OUT. That’s BOESCH.
MR. DOMBROWSKI enjoy paying BRENNAN the minimum salary while you can. BRENNAN
is on his way to join AUSTIN as a SUPER STAR.

ALEX AVILA IS A JEWEL IN THE ROUGH…ready to blossom forth. We see fabulous

BRENNAN BOESCH flat out kills that ball. JIM LEYLAND says: “WHEN BOESCH HITS THE
BALL SOMETHING HAPPENS.” Something happens alright. We used to say that certain
hitters “flatten the ball out.” That’s BOESCH. That ball is never the same. $400,000
for him?
