When Baseball Was Fun

WHAT A DAY FOR DREAMING DOWN SOUTH!!

Yesterday four Tiger pitchers had the following lines:

WILLIS….3ip 4h 1r 1bb no so
BONDERMAN 3ip 4h 1r no bb 2 so
ROBERTSON 2ip 0h 0r no bb 3 so
SCHERZER 4ip 1h 0r no bb 5 so !!
LEYLAND dreamed peacefully all night!

Our question: WHICH OF THESE PITCHERS CAUSED LEYLAND TO SLEEP SO WELL?

Our guess would be all of ‘em. In this order:
FIRST OF ALL SCHERZER, because he’s had two terrible outings and LEYLAND is counting
heavily on him as his third starter. Plus he struck out FIVE Phils;
SECOND OF ALL WILLIS, because this was his third positive outing of the Spring!!
THIRDLY, BONDERMAN, because he’s looked super 2 0f 3 times on the hill;
AND SURPRISE, SURPRISE ROBERTSON. Because he’s having a decent spring, FINALLY!

I’d sleep well too if my starting rotation would have five flame throwers: VERLANDER.
PORCELLO, SCHERZER, WILLIS and BONDERMAN. But caution prevails. Willis & Bonderman
have to keep it up. IF THEY DO…LOOK OUT!

We can’t believe that Rabello is back with the Tigers…This guy is the worst hitter in all
of baseball…he doesn’t have a clue but he must have some magical mirrors and he’s
milking those mirrors with both hands. Folks, theres 1,000 minor league catchers out
there biting at the bit and worthy of a shot,

And Johnny Damon pulled a long gone tater against his old Yankee teammates. WOW!
We think that Johnny also slept pretty good last night.
