KEN..."getting paid off by Georgous George in ways we don't understand" is a thought-
provoking concept. That's one that never crossed our mind, and, it's also one that will
remain under the table forever. Your comment was appreciated...bobby 11-11-09

JERRY: THE CAP WILL WORK IN MLB JUST AS IT DID IN THE NBA & NHL. IT LEVELED THE FIELD
SO THAT THE SMALL MEDIA TEAMS HAD A CHANCE. IT BROKE UP THE DYNASTIES OF THE
RED WINGS AND THE SPURS.
IN 2009 THE BILLIONAIRES WON 103 GAMES AND WE PREDICT THAT THE WILL WIN MORE IN
2010 AND THEREAFTER WITH NO CHANCE AT ALL FOR THE SMALLER MEDIA TEAMS TO EVEN
COME CLOSE!
HERE'S AN EXAMPLE: COMING OUT OF SPRING TRAINING NEXT YEAR KC, CLEVELAND, CINN.,
OAKLAND, MILWAUKEE, MINNESOTA, ARIZONA, COLORADA, PADRES, AND THE ASTROS
W I L L N O T S T A N D A C H A N C E T O W I N N A W O R L D S E R I E S !!!!!

Bobby, I'm just as tired as you are that Steinbrenner just goes out and buys the best baseball players available & goes on to win the pennent. However, our business system of Supply & Demend has been killed by the exploited tax write off system. One reason is that all the big and small Corporations buy large blocks of tickets for their customers. It doesn't make any difference if the seats are filled or vacant, the owners still make lots of money. Thus, the law of Supply & Demand doesn't appear to apply here. There are more reasons but I'm not here to lecture.

Yes, I'm proud of being a "kid" in the 1940's and 50's. Fond memories of getting in free when I was a "Safety Patrol Boy" in school or watching the "Military Personnel" of World War ll get in free when they wore their uniforms. When I had only a one dollar bill, I could buy a 60 cent bleacher seat, a 10 cent score program, and the rest went for my lunch & streetcar fare to get back home.

What it boils down to is the issue of CAPS & even though we don't like it, the owners have the right to pay their players any amount they wish just as an employer can pay his employee(s) any amount he wishes. It's called the free enterprise system.

In my opinion, our "so called govenment" is interveaning and killing SUPPLY & DEMAND. Thus creating this mess.

Happy Trails,

Jer'
